Kitchen Storage Solutions: Pull-Out Pantries, Drawer Inserts & Accessories

In a well-designed kitchen, storage is invisible. Not because it's hidden, but because it's so precisely configured that it disappears into the architecture-everything in its place, nothing out of reach.

Leicht's storage accessories are not add-ons. They are designed as part of the cabinetry system from the beginning, engineered to German tolerances, and chosen based on how the kitchen will actually be used-daily routines, cooking habits, and the way the space flows.

Storage That Starts with the Brief

Before specifying a single drawer insert or pull-out unit, the right question is: how does this kitchen get used? Do you cook daily from scratch? Do children need easy access to snacks? Is counter space the bottleneck, or is it that no drawer ever holds what it should?

Leicht approaches storage as a design problem, not a product category. The result is a kitchen where nothing feels improvised-where the tall pantry column is exactly where it needs to be, the inner drawer sits at the right height, and the corner cabinet actually works.

Pull-Out Pantry Systems

A full-height pull-out pantry cabinet is one of the most functional investments in a kitchen. A single 18-inch column can hold dry goods, canned items, cleaning supplies, and spice racks-all accessible in one motion, with nothing buried at the back.

Leicht pull-out systems come in multiple configurations: single-pull full-height units, layered inner-outer pull-outs within the same cabinet, and door-mounted racks that use previously wasted space on the inside of cabinet doors. Waste and recycling centers follow the same logic-designed to fit the kitchen's footprint and concealed behind fronts that match the rest of the cabinetry. See the full range of pull-out pantry solutions in our guide.

For tight layouts, a slim 9-inch pull-out beside the refrigerator or range can serve as a dedicated spice column-a detail that sounds minor until you're cooking and everything is exactly where it should be.

Drawer Insert Systems: Four Collections, One Standard

Leicht offers four dedicated drawer organization systems, each with a different material language and configuration logic. The choice depends on the kitchen's aesthetic, the drawer depth, and how the space will be used:

Q-BOX - A modular system in walnut, oak, or white, with interlocking trays that configure freely within the drawer. Suited to kitchens with a natural material palette; components can be repositioned without tools.

L-BOX - A structured insert system in lacquered finish, with fixed and semi-fixed dividers. Clean lines and a refined surface make it a natural fit for minimalist and handleless kitchen designs.

COMBO - A hybrid solution designed for drawers that need to handle both utensils and deep storage. The system combines a shallow top tray with a deeper lower section-particularly effective for wide drawers in island units.

Synthetic - A practical, durable liner-based system for everyday use. Cushioned surfaces protect delicate items; modular inserts accommodate everything from knives to bakeware.

All four systems are designed to work with Leicht's standard drawer dimensions, so there is no guessing-each insert lands precisely where it should. Browse the complete kitchen storage systems range for the full picture.

Corner Solutions That Eliminate Dead Space

Corner cabinets are among the most underused storage zones in any kitchen. Leicht's approach converts these areas into productive storage through two primary systems:

Kidney swivel (LeMans-style): Shelves extend fully from the cabinet on a curved arm, bringing everything to the front in one motion. Effective for pots, pantry goods, and small appliances that would otherwise be inaccessible.

Corner drawer sets: Where the layout allows, diagonal or angled drawer configurations eliminate the compromises of traditional corner cabinets entirely, providing straight-line access with no blind spots.

Pocket Doors and Appliance Garages

Slide-away pocket door units transform a section of cabinetry into a concealed work zone. When open, they reveal a fully functional coffee station, appliance center, or breakfast bar. When closed, the kitchen reads as a single, uninterrupted composition.

These units are particularly effective in open-plan kitchens where visual continuity matters, and in homes where appliances are used frequently but should not dominate the design.

How to Choose the Right Storage System

The right storage configuration depends on three things: the available cabinet dimensions, the primary use case for each zone, and the material language of the kitchen. A drawer insert that works in a contemporary handleless kitchen may not suit a transitional design with framed doors.

At Leicht Queens, storage planning begins in the design phase-not as a specification afterthought. Every pull-out, insert, and corner unit is selected in the context of the full kitchen layout, coordinated with the cabinetry program, and confirmed against the actual dimensions before production.
