walnut natural
Genuine wood front veneered in oak, ash, walnut wood, or elm. Ash and elm veneers are implemented in a vertical direction and, furthermore, have a continuous veneer.
Cristallo quartzite — a translucent white natural stone with warm amber veining, used on the countertops, the full-height backsplash, the waterfall ends of the prep island, and the wrapped hood surround above the range, and repeated on the wash station near the dining room.
The homeowners wanted a kitchen that could hold a family's daily life without feeling full. Storage was the priority — cabinetry that uses the full 128 inches of ceiling height, leaving nothing above as dead space. They also asked for a built-in bench where the children could eat and do homework near the cooking area, and a proper wash and serving station near the dining room, finished to the same standard as the main kitchen.

A Brief in Warm Walnut and Quartzite
Set in a newly built home in Woodmere, this kitchen was planned around a straightforward brief with high expectations: make room for everything, keep the lines quiet, and let two materials carry the space. The result is a handleless Leicht kitchen that pairs warm walnut with a pale, luminous quartzite, tied together by a thread of brushed gold that runs from the cabinet reveals to the faucets and hardware.
An L-Shaped Layout Built for Storage
The kitchen is arranged in an L, roughly 72 linear feet of cabinetry across the perimeter, the islands, and a dedicated service wall. A 48-inch range anchors the cooking wall beneath a quartzite-wrapped hood, flanked by tall walnut-and-white columns that consolidate refrigeration, ovens, and pantry storage into a single continuous volume. This keeps the working perimeter low and quiet and frees the center of the room for two islands — one for preparation, one that extends into a bench-height table for the family.
Warm Walnut and Handleless Cabinetry
The cabinetry combines two Leicht programs: primary fronts in BONDI 120 Frosty White, a super-matte lacquer that reads soft rather than reflective, and a secondary walnut in TOPOS 320V Natural on the tall wall, the hood frame, and the service cabinetry. In place of visible handles, the kitchen uses Leicht's CONTINO profile in 416 Gold — a slim integrated channel that draws a fine brass line along every door and drawer, setting the tone for the brass used throughout the room.
A Professional, Concealed Appliance Plan
The appliance plan mixes a professional cooking suite with fully concealed support. A 48-inch Café range in matte white with brushed-bronze knobs sits at the center, paired with a Café French-door wall oven and two Café microwave drawers in the same finish. Panel-ready Dacor refrigeration columns, a warming drawer, and a concealed hood insert keep the walls calm, while two panel-ready Miele dishwashers and a Café beverage center handle cleanup and entertaining without adding visible hardware.
A Service and Bar Wall by the Dining Room
Along the wall closest to the dining room, a run of walnut cabinetry opens to a lit glass display case for stemware and wine, a hidden appliance pantry with pull-out shelves and snack drawers, and a quartzite-lined wash station with its own brass faucet and undermount sink. The finished room holds a great deal without looking full, gives the children a comfortable place of their own, and treats the service area as part of the design rather than a utility corner.
