White Quartz Countertops and Backsplash
We selected Silestone Bianco Calacatta for the countertops, which combines thick electric veins with a grayish luminous background. This material adds contrast and personality, suitable for classic and contemporary tastes. The countertops are built out to 2 1/2" throughout the kitchen and island top. The island features two waterfalls, where the countertop material finishes the side of the kitchen base cabinetry, each in the same 2 1/2" thickness on both ends. The same stone material in its standard thickness (1 1/4") is used for the backsplash, creating a full-height backsplash around and above the window.

In the serene neighborhood of Roslyn, NY, a modern family embarked on a total gut renovation of their newly purchased home. Their goal was to infuse a modern transitional style throughout the house, with the kitchen serving as the epitome of this vision.
Collaborative Kitchen Design Process
Our kitchen designer collaborated closely with the homeowners, their interior designer, and the contractor to bring their design aspirations to life. The result is a cohesive and functional space that meets the family’s needs while reflecting their modern aesthetic.
Sleek and Functional Custom Kitchen Cabinetry
The primary cabinetry program used in this kitchen is BONDI, finished with super matt lacquer in the 100 Arctic color. This finish provides a pleasant surface feel with an anti-fingerprint effect, ensuring the kitchen remains pristine. BONDI is used for both the kitchen base cabinetry and wall cabinetry.
The secondary cabinetry program is SYNTHIA in 227v Japanese Pine with a vertical grain. The SYNTHIA program blends beauty with practicality, featuring a scratch-resistant textured wood laminate coated with melamine resin. It is utilized for the hood cabinet, tall section cabinetry, the island, and the workstation by the living room, seamlessly integrating design elements throughout the space.
Spacious U-shaped Kitchen Layout with Central Island
The kitchen features a large U-shaped layout with an island in a vast open space that includes the kitchen and a spacious living room. The desk area/computer table near the living room integrates the design elements of the entire space. The large island, the centerpiece of this kitchen, offers seating for five and serves as a hub for cooking and socializing.

The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances to ensure top-notch performance and style:
Miele panel-ready 30" refrigerator column and a 30" freezer column (totaling 60" of refrigeration)
30" Wolf double convection oven

24" built-in Miele coffee system
