Both the countertop and full-height backsplash are fabricated from 1¼-inch Taj Mahal quartzite, a natural stone known for its elegant mix of creamy whites and warm taupe veining. The gentle movement of the pattern adds quiet depth to the space, complementing the Magnolia finish with a balanced, organic contrast. The waterfall detail on the peninsula further enhances the feeling of sophistication and flow.
The homeowners wanted to open their kitchen to the rest of the living space while keeping a calm and refined atmosphere. They envisioned a soft, neutral palette that would bring warmth without overpowering the room, allowing the natural light to take center stage. Their goal was a modern kitchen that feels effortless—inviting enough for everyday life, yet elegant enough to entertain friends and family.
This full-apartment remodel in a Roosevelt Island condo transformed a once-enclosed galley kitchen into an open, welcoming space. The removal of the dividing wall created a seamless connection between the kitchen and living area, introducing a sense of flow and light that the original layout lacked. The result is a refined, functional space that reflects the warmth of natural tones and the simplicity of modern design.
Handleless Magnolia Finish with a Soft, Inviting Character
The entire kitchen is crafted in Leicht’s TOCCO program in the color 032 Magnolia, offering a soft, creamy tone that feels both warm and contemporary. This is a handleless kitchen, with the integrated profiles powder-coated to perfectly match the door color, creating a continuous, uninterrupted look. Built-in LED lighting under the wall cabinets enhances the subtle tones and provides balanced illumination across the work surfaces.
Thoughtful Storage and Design Details
To optimize function within the open layout, a tall cabinet was added beside the peninsula, featuring a closed base cabinet and open shelving above. This element serves as a transition between the kitchen and living area—providing display space and practical storage without disrupting the room's visual harmony.

Our Customers Say
Renovated my kitchen this past year and could not be happier. Everyone involved in the process was professional and most patient with me and my wife. From the owner, Roei, to the the office manager, Wafaa, to my main designer, Elizabeth, to my project manager, Aura, I found individuals who did all that they could to produce a wonderful new kitchen. I've hired many contractors in the past and found most to be lacking in some way or another. I think you will be most satisfied with your experience at German Kitchen Center. Lastly, I must single out Juan, who installed my kitchen. He is amazing. His attention to detail and ability to execute are unparalleled. I wish I could hire him for a few other projects I have lined up.
