In Valley Stream, NY, a family’s vision for their ideal kitchen has finally become a reality. After a decade of dreaming and planning, they partnered with our team to design a space that blends modern aesthetics with everyday functionality. This kitchen is not just a cooking area—it’s the heart of their home, thoughtfully crafted to support their passion for cooking and baking.
Expanding Space & Maximizing Natural Light
The original kitchen felt limited in size, leading to a strategic expansion toward the back of the house. This not only opened up the layout but also introduced an abundance of natural light. Floor-to-ceiling windows were replaced with sleek new installations positioned just above the countertop, preserving the bright, airy feel while enhancing usability.
A U-Shaped Layout with a Purposeful Island
At the center of the kitchen, a spacious U-shaped layout features a large island designed for uninterrupted workflow. Free of sinks and appliances, the island serves as a multi-functional space for cooking, baking, and casual dining. With seating for four (and room for a fifth), it naturally becomes a gathering place for family meals and relaxed conversations.
Leicht Contino Handleless Cabinets in F45 Mohair
A defining element of this kitchen is its Leicht Contino handleless cabinetry, chosen for its sleek, seamless design. The F45 door program, with its precision 45° chamfered edge, showcases premium German craftsmanship. Finished in 130 Mohair, a soft, warm beige, the cabinets add a refined yet welcoming touch, proving that high-end design can also feel inviting.
Tall Section with Glass & LED Accents
One of the most striking features is the tall storage section, where two VERO glass units framed in matte black metal introduce a subtle industrial edge. These glass cabinets, with vertical LED lighting illuminating the matte black interiors, provide both display and storage. Flanking them are panel-ready Monogram refrigerator and freezer columns, seamlessly blending into the cabinetry. Completing the setup, two Miele convection ovens sit side by side, creating a professional-grade cooking zone.
